Ready for the good news?
Nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian is covered by most health insurance providers! However, the exact coverage will depend on your individual plan.
To avoid any unexpected costs, we strongly recommend calling your health insurance provider to verify your benefits.
Accepted Insurances
We are currently contracted providers with HMSA and Medicare*.
If we are out-of-network with your insurance provider:
You may still have out-of-network benefits that cover nutrition counseling
We can provide you with a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement
*Medicare only covers nutrition counseling if you have diabetes or non-dialysis kidney disease. A referral from your PCP is required on a yearly basis.
Verifying Insurance Benefits
The best way to verify your benefits is to call the Customer Service or Member Services number on the back of your insurance card. Ask the representative the following questions to gather the necessary information.
